ANIMORUM
Sentierino, Bergamo Bassa
Diego Armellini and Giuseppe Lorenzi
The ANIMORUM installation, meaning “of souls,” explores the theme of metamorphosis through seven sculptures that intertwine profound messages and reflections on life, identity, and human relationships. Each piece, with its unique title and form, contributes to a collective narrative emphasizing transformation and the bonds between souls. The works aim to inspire introspective reflections on the complexity of human relationships and the inevitable transformations we experience throughout our journey....
SOQQUADRO
The name evokes a pleasant chaos—pure creativity. Soqquadro is not just a design studio; it is a place where Elena and Diego, the founders of Soqquadro Srl, shape spaces, imbuing them with the essence of those who inhabit them. It offers a breath of contemporary design that embraces sustainability and dances with art to create unique environments.
At Soqquadro, boundaries blur, and cross-pollination intertwines with the local territory in a continuous dialogue between ancient and modern, reclaimed materials, and new decorative techniques. Every project is a story, written with care and passion, echoing a uniqueness unafraid to defy rules but reinventing them for an out-of-the-box living experience—intimate and deeply personal.
Soqquadro designs and creates art pieces within spaces, making them unforgettable. For over fifteen years, they have been reshaping interiors for private clients, businesses, restaurants, and shops.
Diego Armellini is a creative professional who began his career as an educator before transitioning to entrepreneurship. After earning a degree in Educational Sciences in 2007, he transformed his passion for creativity into a profession. Together with his partner, Elena Gamberoni, he founded Soqquadro, a design studio focusing on creating and shaping environments with a preference for sustainable materials and contemporary design.
His work involves experimenting with techniques and materials to craft new creations for Soqquadro's clients. Armellini participates in artistic events at both local and international levels and maintains a strong commitment to professional development. Eclectic and visionary, he collaborates with artists such as Giuseppe Lorenzi to embark on innovative projects.
Giuseppe Lorenzi is an artist deeply connected to the earth, exploring and experimenting with the resilience of clay. His art transcends mere materiality, capturing emotion. The cracks and textures in the glaze of his Raku ceramic works testify to an intense interaction between artist and material—a mutual seduction crystallized in a moment.
Lorenzi favors the Raku technique for its unpredictability. Fire and smoke, untamed forces, interact with the oxides used for decoration, creating chromatic variations over time and yielding surprising results. The interference of uncontrollable events generates unexpected outcomes, often surpassing expectations. This reflects Lorenzi’s artistic philosophy: an art balanced between control and surrender.
