The Urban Commercial District (DUC) of Bergamo is a private association established in 2009 with support from the Lombardy Region. Its members include the Municipality of Bergamo, the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, and prominent trade associations such as Ascom, Confcommercio Bergamo, Confesercenti Bergamo, and merchant groups from areas like the city center, Borgo Palazzo, Borgo Santa Caterina, and Città Alta.

DUC's mission includes enhancing over 1,400 local shops that provide essential services and contribute to the city's vibrancy. It also promotes cultural initiatives, including Christmas celebrations in Bergamo. The Christmas Design event is organized and supported by DUC, managed by Nicola Viscardi.
