Nor is he, with peace be to the master Giosuè Carducci, an artist who fashions a sword and shields and ploughshares; and not even, with peace to many others, an artist who nibbles and chisels the gold that others offer him. To constitute the poet, his feelings and his vision are worth infinitely more than the way in which he transmits the one and the other...”. These words by Giovanni Pascoli express the thought that led Bruno Vaerini to create the artwork. To make room for poetic thought in our lives, therefore, silence is needed. Vaerini borrowed from his beloved Lorenzo Lotto the image of the angels from the Pala di San Bernardino (1521). Oculum Angelorum, an installation conceived by Bruno Vaerini for the Da Mimmo restaurant, is exhibited in via Bartolomeo Colleoni.
