According to a study published in the journal Global Change Biology, only 48% of the world's surface in 2020 was classified as an area with low human impact. This means that over half of the Earth's surface is affected by human activity. "Unfold the Earth, Unfold Your Heart" serves as a poignant reminder of how much we have eroded the planet and highlights the parts of the world that remain untouched by human activities—areas we must nurture and protect. The message is clear: we need to halt urban sprawl, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and restore forests. We must reverse the trend to free the Earth from pollution and allow it to breathe once more. If the planet breathes, we all breathe. Unfold the earth, unfold your heart is represented by a sphere made of reinforced concrete and recycled marble, with a diameter of 170 cm. Mutti Marmi

Mutti Marmi is a family-owned company based in Trescore Balneario, in the province of Bergamo. Established in 1986 by Giuseppe Mutti, it is now managed by his sons Massimiliano, Fabiano, and Paolo Mutti. The company specializes in the processing and trade of marble, granite, and porcelain stoneware, meeting every client’s needs by combining technical and artistic expertise while staying attuned to current trends. In addition to material processing, Mutti Marmi provides various services to deliver complete project solutions, including design and consultancy, installation, treatment, maintenance, and restoration. Designer

Luca Schieppati

Born in Italy in 1979, Luca Schieppati graduated in Industrial Design from the Politecnico di Milano in 2005. He lives and works between Bergamo and Milan, collaborating with various companies in the design sector to define new production scenarios and uses for industrial products. In 2009, he designed Ciclotte, his most significant project, which has won numerous national and international awards. In 2019, he created the world’s first crystal exercise bike and expanded the range of products under the Ciclotte brand.
Over the years, Schieppati has undertaken numerous graphic projects for brand identities, designed fabrics, clothing, and products for various companies. His projects and concepts have been showcased in several exhibitions, including “New Italian Design” at the Triennale Museum in Milan in 2007 and the “Triennale Design Museum” in 2009, as well as in exhibitions in Florence, Madrid, Beijing, Shanghai, and New York. Schieppati has won 11 international design awards, including the Wallpaper Design Award, the FIBO Design Award, and The International Design Awards IDA twice. Since 2007, he has been teaching at the Istituto Europeo di Design, where he teaches courses in StartUp Design and Product Design.
